Stephen Mack

Stephen Mack is an Adjunct Professor of French Language, Literature and Pedagogy at Dominican University in Chicago and McHenry County College in Crystal Lake. After earning his MA in French Language and Literature, Stephen went on to earn his doctorate in Educational Leadership and Curriculum Design. He has been teaching for over a decade, and has recently published his dissertation about the use of Internet technology and second language learning.

When not occupied in class, Stephen is engaged in the daily wonder of being a “semi” stay-at-home dad to a beautiful 6-year old girl and a 10-month old boy. Both have taught Stephen more than he ever could have hoped. Stephen’s daughter, Isabella, is in kindergarten, and rises daily to some of the challenges posed to her with her diagnosis, at birth, of Joubert Syndrome — she is an amazing little girl and a life inspiration. Stephen’s son, Christian, joined the family in March 2010 through the adoption process. Stephen, and his wife Denise, are immensely blessed to have become foster parents and then to adopt Christian — it completes the family!

In addition to his work on Creative Play Plus, Stephen also is a regular blogger for ExceptionalFamilyTV.com, a web site devoted to resources for families of children with special needs, and does freelance writing for a variety of different web-based corporations.
