- School Supply Make-Over
-
Did you try the dry erase roll as a cover to your child’s back to school supplies? Use it on a notebook, folder, binder, etc. The creativity is endless, even if you simply leave it blank!
Or, take our cue and purchase some fun “eyes” in your local craft store’s scrapbooking section (they should be in the sticker section). Just spread the “eyes” all over the cover of the notebook or book and let the fun and crazy creations begin!
Next, attach a dry erase marker to the book’s spiral binding for easy access and your child will be able to create endless faces to decorate their school supplies! Erase and create over and over again! This is also the perfect indoor recess activity, or quiet-time activity when school work is completed.
Try using the dry erase paper on the inside flap of a folder or notebook, and it can work as a homework reminder. Or, it can serve as the playing surface for a game of tic-tac-toe with a peer during recess!
More, Fun Decorating Ideas
Did you decorate your child’s supplies with patterned paper? Don’t stop there! Add stickers or embellishments before sealing up your child’s creations with contact paper.
You can also create a bookmark by tying a piece of ribbon to the top of the spiral binding on a notebook. Simplycut the ribbon so it is slightly longer than the notebook, and then attach an item to the bottom of the ribbon that matches the “theme” of the paper. For example, on the camouflage paper my son chose an army man to anchor the bookmark. Now, your child has a personalized bookmark that serves as a constant reminder to keep on studying!
